Life. A London Playlist.
You know what is really ironic? When I lived in Sydney I lived on London Street. We were always talking about having a party called London calling and sometimes we called ourselves the Londoners or the London Street Militia. We were a bunch of broke students living in a falling down terrace but it was so fun. Now nearly three years later, I hear London calling again, but this time I am going to the other side of the world. Here are a few of my favourite tracks that are in some way about the city I am going to call home in nine months or so.

You're moving to London ? That sounds amazing Sam :D
ReplyDeleteI sure am! SO EXCITED. x
DeleteOne of my favourites is "Sound of the Suburbs" by The Members. It's actually about life in my hometown which is a 30 minute train journey outside of London.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that I find most interesting about it is that it was written in 1979 and the lyrics are still so relevant. It absolutely sounds like it could have been written last month. Nothing has changed whatsoever.

Awesome list! I love expanding my iPod collection! I love Clash and I realized that I don't have enough of their songs.
